ABOUT POLISHED CONCRETE.

Polished Concrete is one of the most economical flooring choices available. It is Hygienic, easily maintained and stain resistant. Its reflective properties maximise lighting, creating an ambient space in any home, office or retail space.

Polished Concrete is achieved using heavy duty machines that gradually grind down the surface of the concrete to the desired level of exposure. This is done using coarse diamond segments bonded in a metallic matrix. These segments are coarse enough to remove minor pits, blemishes and stains. Depending on the condition of the concrete, this initial rough grinding is generally a three- to four-step process.

The floor is polished with ever-finer polishing pad’s to the desired level of shine, for an extremely high gloss finish a final grit of 1500 or higher may be used. Chemical is applied during this process to Harden and densify the floor, protecting it from the inside out.
